Social Security Disability Lawyer in North Carolina

What is the cost for a Social Security Disability attorney?

Do you wish to file for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits (SSDI), but are worried that you cannot afford to hire an attorney? If the cost of hiring an attorney is holding you back from seeking help, there is no reason to fret. At Lanier Law Group, we represent clients on a contingency fee basis. This means we will only seek compensation if we are successful in helping you recover SSDI benefits.

How much do you keep as your payment?

The amount we are able to charge is based off of guidelines set forth by the Social Security Administration. As of June 2009, we are only allowed to charge a fee equal to 25 percent of your pay back, and the most we are able to claim in attorneys' fees in $6,000.

We typically do not charge any initial costs for presenting your case. If you are approved for benefits, part of our fees will be paid by the Social Security Administration.

What is a Fee Agreement?

The Fee Agreement is a document that is filed with the Social Security Administration that outlines the fee arrangement between the attorney and the claimant (you). Attorney fees are set forth by the Social Security Administration, which is currently 25% of what you recover not to exceed $6,000.
